Its a jeep track from Muktinath (Ranipuwa) all the way to Tatopani, in March there were just a couple of places where the road wasn't completely finished or there had been a landslide (below Kalopani and 1 place in Tatopani). You can cross over to the other side of the river below Kalopani and the trail is just how it always was but you do have to cross back afterwards. In 3 days trekking along that section we encountered 5 or 6 jeeps, a dozen motorbikes and a couple of tractors. It wasn't too bad and it is still worth trekking in my opinion. Especially if you go up to Ghorepani after Tatopani and leave the road behind.
