Since this spring the road is built until Syange. There is regular public jeep service between Besi and Syange. That means you can make your trek 1 day short (if the road is not washed away by monsoon rains) or still walk from Bhulebhule to Syange via Bahundanda since there is also public bus between Besi and Bhulebhule. It does not make sense to start in Khudi because you have to walk on the road. From Bhulebhule the road stays on the west bank while the trail is on the east bank.
There are few bulding sites between Syange and Chamje where trail can be tricky. This spring the trail before Jagat was very narrow and exposed, same between Jagat and Chamje. But since lots of blasting was going on and the road is progressing in fast pace the condition might be already different.
The old trail is very comfortable and easy to follow. Only during monsoon many parts of it turn into streams and there can be lots of mud therefore slipery. You should walk in good waterproof shoes. Also leeches are common during monsoon. They are not such a hassle when you are moving but you should be careful if you sit down for a rest by the trail.
From Syange you can easily reach Chame in 3 days. After Chame you will be out of the main impact of monsoon and it will get better and better. Manang valley is beautiful with flowering buckweath fields.
I agree that you should bring a sleeping bag. After Manang it is never too warm.
Save some spare days if the flight from Jomsom is cance*lled.
