hi matt, and congratulations!
out of curiosity i consulted my big book of high altitude medicine. it seems it hasn't been conclusively studied, but for your information it suggests the following:
-not to ascend higher than 3000m(some sources say 3650m) during pregnancy. high altitudes best avoided.
-avoid giving medications to pregnant women unless absolutely necessary, especially in the first three months of pregnancy.
-avoid drugs such as doxycycline, ciproflaxacilin, tinidizole among others (common antibiotics for treatment of gastro-intestinal complaints)
-avoid use of oral contraceptives at altitude. (too late i guess)
otherwise ofcourse consult your doctor - although in my experience your average GP is hardly an expert on high altitude medicine without consulting the big book.
there are ofcourse other 'travel' issues involved with nepal eg: the effect of vaccinations on preganancy is not well known.
you could always wait a couple of years and try trekking with a toddler - yikes!!
