![]() Taxing climb up both Mount Cuthburt and Mount Vincent. However, breathtaking views from summits. Cloudy but little rain today. Crossed Albany Highway and boiled billy at picnic spot. Met Robin Lawrence's sister, then group from Riverton Baptist Church. Christians everywhere. I wonder what it all means. Saw emu and kangaroo today as I head down detour (Mount Cook and Nerang). Burnt out. Set up tent then collected firewood. I love this aspect of the walk and tonight was my first night alone. (At last) Played harmonica under brilliant starry night, fire raging. Decided to sleep next to fire till embers went out. In tent now, but can't seem to sleep between 3am and 6am. Collected some wildflowers for kids today. Miss 'em both. P.S. Found a hot water bottle then lost it soon after! ![]() |
