Day 31 Tom Road to Boardinghouse |
Level terrain again today for most of the way. Many pleasant pools and rapids to cool off in. Left at the bitumen road you cross over, Graphite Road, is a cafe that is well worth a visit. Great lunch spot. Go on treat yourself! Old Chapel's Bridge has an old shelter used mainly by vehicle campers. (21.6 km). Cross bridge, consisting of a large karri tree to Boarding House campsite. This site features nearby river, karri forest and early morning birdsong. |

![]() Woke up at 7am and on the road by 9am. Had a nice lunch at the cafe halfway to Boardinghouse. Used the lavender toilet spray in there on my armpits as it seemed a bit flashy for us bushies. Had a refreshing swim near rapids, which mentally revitalized me. Saw I tiger snake this morning (total so far 5) Arrived at Boardinghouse at 5pm, crossed bridge made from fallen karri tree. Hermon and Anneka lit a nice fire, and my dinner of Alfredo pasta never tasted so good. Should sleep well tonight hopefully. Mice attacked Herman and Anneka's packs last night. They musn't have liked the taste of mine. |
