Day 22 Yabberup to Noggerup |
After 6 kilometres of easy walking, you skirt then cross the lovely Glen Mervyn Dam. The Mumballup Tavern is a "must visit" for lunch and a beer at the 12 kilometre mark. Steep climb from the pub through private property offers magnificent pastoral views. Say "hi" to the many sheep and cows along the way. Beautiful wildflowers in spring! |

![]() Left Charlie's Angels (Penny, Peta and Marita) back at the pub where they were picked up by a taxi. Enjoyed my $18 steak, chips, salad and Coke lunch at the Mumby pub. Luxury [Editor's note - this should be pronounced - "Lucksherry" in a strong north of England accent a la Monty Python] Left Yabberup rather late at 9:10.am arriving at Noggerup 3pm. Saw baby emu chicks (cute) 3 kilometres out of Yabberup. Nice walk around Glen Mervyn Dam although evidence of yobbos leaving rubbish, bottles and even a good tent behind. Seems these lads still need mummy to pick up after them. Another cloudy and drizzly day which doesn't bother me too much. However, I haven't had a blue sky walking day since day 10 (Mount Wells to Chadoora). Plenty of Readers Digest's here so I might kick back, have a cuppa and have myself a wee read. |
