Day 11 Chadoora to Dwellingup |
This section of the Bibbulmun Track is flat with a lovely winding walk through jarah forest. History abounds as you pass through the once busy settlements of Inglehope and Holyoake. The last half of this walk follows a rail line used on occasions by the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway. |

![]() Today I eagerly set off at 7:15 am for the spoils of Dwellingup. I was motoring along until about 8 kilometres from town I developed a sore left knee and tight right thigh. It reduced me to a hobble and I literally limped into town with a waking stick as an aid. Arrived at about 2pm and bought a load of bread, sardines, ham, chocolate and orange juice, yummo! Booked in for 2 nights at the caravan park ($20 per cabin per night) and have a real mattress at last, I treated myself to a dinner at the local pub ($10.50). Unfortunately the kids weren't at home when I rang. Will send them a postcard each from all of the towns I pass through on the Bibbulmun. |
