Day 10 Mount Wells to Chadoora |
A 4 kilometre descent down Mount Wells is a perfect start to a day on the Bibbulmun Track. The activity from a nearby goldmine is audible. There is evidence of an old telegraph line. From the foot of Mount Wells to Chadoora is a flat 11 kilometre walk which makes 'double hutting' on to Dwellingup a possibility. Signs of old timbermill homes are visible near Chadoora. |

Ooh darn. I left my trusty walking stick back at my last rest stop. Its name was white Horse because it looked like one. Left Mount Wells at 8:15 and arrive smack on 12 pm just in time for Days of our Lives. * Lovely bush about the campsite. Hadn't seen a soul since Ginger Creek until Keith, Gloria and Janine turned up. Nice family, enjoyed their company immensely. Janine's 32nd birthday today so the champers was out. Janine gave me 2 mini Mars Bars (What a gal) and I scored three sausages for dinner (Thanks guys!!!) The big smoke of Dwellingup can't come too soon for this weary traveller. Think I'll buy a loaf of bread, sliced ham and coleslaw, then I hit town to pig out in the park. Heck, I might even pitch my tent there and save myself $20. *Long running soap broadcast noon each day |
