Stables
Whilst us humans can't help but like the surroundings on the
Gold Coast, our equine friends are well catered for as well.
Thexton Racing Stables is located in between the Magic Millions
Sales complex and Traintech, the internationally renown training
academy.
Our stables comprise of 35 breezy boxes, with 4 day yards and 4 sand
rolls.
We back onto a sleepy lagoon, which is circled by walking tracks
covered by overhanging shade trees perfect for afternoon exercise.
Thexton Racing has its own in stable farrier shop to keep our horses
feet healthy, whilst we utilise revolutionary Spa boots to help
horses both post and pre race.
To insure the fitness levels of all
our horses is maintained, we have our own 6 horse, bi-directional
circular walker located at the rear of the stable complex.
Thexton Racing Stables are a short 200m stroll from the Gold Coast
Turf Club, where our horses are worked daily.
Track
The Gold Coast Turf Club races on every Saturday of the year, with
its feature meeting being the Magic Millions raceday held each
January. The Southport track is only five minutes from the centre of
Surfers Paradise and a half an hour from Coolangatta airport.
The Gold Coast Turf Club betting ring is one of the strongest in
Australasia, with several of the nations largest bookmakers fielding
both on local and away meetings.
The facilities on course are second to none, providing owners and
guests with a wide range of high quality dining options.
